About Saved Records

The full table of every entity of a given type (Companies, People, Deals, Locations, Leads, or Custom). Think of it like a live spreadsheet that always shows everything. You can filter, sort, enrich, and save views — but you're always looking at the full dataset.Think of Records as your complete TAM in a box. Over time, many companies end up maintaining their own external database, like Snowflake.

Orbital's Records (Aka Universe) serve two primary purposes:

  • Manage your entire TAM from Orbital.

  • Automatically sync accounts, contacts, and opportunities between Orbital and your CRM.

What You Can Do in Saved

When you open any entity type (Companies, People, etc.), you're in its universe. From here you can:

  • Filter — Narrow down the full table using AND/OR logic across any field (text match, number ranges, date ranges, empty/filled, etc.)

  • Sort — Sort by multiple columns at once

  • Show/hide columns — Pick which fields are visible, reorder them, pin columns to the left, and resize widths

  • Enrich — Add enrichment columns that automatically run agents or lookups on each row (see Enrichment Columns below)

  • Search — Full-text search across supported entity types

  • Bulk actions — Select rows and push them to HubSpot/Salesforce, export to CSV, or delete

  • Peek panel — Click any row to open a side panel with the full record and inline editing

  • Map view — Locations can be viewed on a map instead of a table

  • Import CSV — Upload a CSV, map its columns to fields, and bring rows in

Step-by-Step: A Typical Workflow

Here's how Universes and Lists work together end to end:

Step 1 — Explore Open the Company universe. Apply filters to narrow down (e.g., industry = SaaS, employees ≥ 50, country = US).

Step 2 — Save your filter Save it as a Universe View ("US SaaS 50+") so you don't have to rebuild the filter next time.

Step 3 — Enrich Add an enrichment column — for example, "Find CEO email" — and run it across the filtered rows. Results stream in and persist automatically.

Step 4 — Snapshot into a list When you're ready to act on the results, convert the filtered set into a list ("Q3 SaaS Target Accounts"). This freezes the membership — new companies that match the filter next week won't be added automatically.

Step 5 — Act Attach the list to a campaign, or push it to HubSpot/Salesforce using the bulk sync. The list stays stable as your campaign runs.
